#20 Removing Barriers to Guests [Podcast]


RemovingBarriers1.0Ways to see, and eliminate, unseen barriers that keep guests from coming, or from coming back. Often times our church have inadvertently created barriers to guests returning to church.

Are guests made unnecessarily uncomfortable by “church habits” that all of us are used to. Let the Holy Spirit be the one who brings the lack of comfort.

Be careful about having first time guests stand and be introduced or worse yet introduce themselves.

Do you have and outsider view? Gather some church folks and pretend you are a first timer. Take a good look at your welcoming practices.

Are you and your people expecting guests on Sunday?  Are you treating “first timers” as guests and not just visitors?

Do you have welcoming atmosphere? For someone to coming back to God, it is not all about the preaching and the Bible teaching. Often times it is how they are treated and accepted by regular church folks.
